If You Aren’t Familiar with PCKL

Pckl is a pickleball equipment company based in Atlanta, GA that focuses on quality gear and creating amazing experiences for their customers.

It was founded by a group of seasoned pickleball professionals who wanted to create paddles that would suit their diverse playing styles and preferences.

They spent years researching, testing, and refining their products until they came up with four unique paddle series: Pro, Launch, and Power Each series has its own characteristics and advantages that cater to different types of players and skill levels.

PCKL Pickleball Paddle Review

PCKL Pro Series

If you are looking for a paddle that can deliver both power and control, you want to check out the PCKL Pro Series.

The PCKL Pro Series has a bold and sleek design that will make you stand out on the court. The green edge guard contrasts nicely with the white face and adds some flair to the paddle. Its matte finish gives it a smooth and classy look.

This paddle has a 13mm polypropylene honeycomb core that gives it a solid feel and a consistent bounce. It also has a textured graphite face that adds spin and touch to your shots.

The PCKL Pro Series has a lightweight (7.5-7.8 oz) that makes it easy to maneuver and swing. It is a balanced paddle that is excellent offensively and defensively.

The only drawback of the PCKL Pro Series is that it can be difficult to block fast drives or reset shots due to its lightweight and thin core. Sometimes you may need more stability or cushioning when you face aggressive opponents or fastballs. However, this is not a major issue as you can adjust your technique or switch to another paddle if needed.

The PCKL Pro Series is one of the thinnest paddles on the market and it can slap the ball HARD. You will not have a problem generating power with this paddle, and if you are looking for something that can finish without having to put your whole body into the ball then this might

The fine grit surface used on the face of the Pro Series does provide great spin but does not compete with the top spin paddles out right now. On drives, you won’t notice any issues because of how much power the paddle generates on its own. Combining that with any spin made for extremely effective drives.

If you love the spin game, you will still be able to do everything you want but just a slight drop in performance from the top-level spin paddles.

PCKL Launch Series

The PCKL launch series is designed for beginners who want a comfortable grip and an easy-to-control paddle.

It has a 14mm polypropylene honeycomb core that provides a soft feel and a high bounce. It also has a fiberglass face that adds speed and pop to your shots.

The PCKL launch series paddle has a medium weight (7.8-8.1 oz) that makes it stable and responsive. The paddle is ideal for players who like to play with finesse and creativity, as it can produce power, control, and feel in any situation.

It feels very smooth and quiet in my hand and does not cause any vibration or noise. The paddle is very stylish and sleek and has a nice matte finish.

The spin and power of the PCKL launch series paddle are a bit lacking. It makes sense because it is designed for beginners. Offensive players will be a bit disappointed but beginners won’t even notice that this is a problem.

PCKL Power Series

The PCKL power series paddle is designed for players who want a high level of power and speed in their game.

It has a 10mm aluminum honeycomb core that provides a stiff feel and a low bounce. It also has a carbon fiber face that adds strength and durability to your shots. The surface has a smooth finish that helps you hit the ball with force and accuracy. The paddle also has an edge guard that protects it from impact and damage.

The PCKL power series paddle has a large spot that allows you to hit the ball with intensity and accuracy. It also has a heavy weight (8.2-8.5 oz) that makes it powerful and solid.

The paddle is ideal for players who like to play aggressively and dominantly, as it can generate power and speed in any shot.

I have been using the PCKL power series paddle for a few days now and I am amazed by it. It feels very firm and sturdy in my hand. The paddle is very robust and resilient and has survived many hard hits and drops without any dent or scratch.

The PCKL ball is designed to complement their paddles and enhance the game experience. It has a 40-hole pattern that provides a smooth flight and a consistent bounce.

It also has a durable plastic material that withstands wear and tear from frequent use. The ball also has a bright yellow color that makes it easy to see on any court surface.

The PCKL ball offers great performance in any weather condition or court surface. It also matches well with any paddle choice, playing style, or skill level. The ball is ideal for players who want to enjoy playing pickleball with quality gear.

The ball is very visible and easy to track on any court surface.

Is there really a difference between pickleball paddles?

Yes, there is. Here are the things that affect your play experience the most.

Core: The core is the inner layer of the paddle that affects the feel and bounce of the paddle. There are three types of cores: polypropylene, aluminum, and Nomex. Polypropylene cores are soft and flexible, aluminum cores are stiff and rigid, and Nomex cores are hard and dense.

Weight: Light paddles are easy to swing and move and put less strain on your shoulder and elbow, so it is better for beginners. Heavier paddles give you more power and stability, but if you aren’t skilled enough and are physically fit, you will feel that it’s hard to control and tiring.

Shape: The shape is the form or outline of the paddle that affects the hitting area and sweet spot of the paddle. There are three shapes: standard, widebody, or elongated. Standard paddles give you more consistency and precision, widebody paddles give you more coverage and forgiveness, and elongated paddles give you more reach and leverage.

Size: The size is the dimension or measurement of the paddle that affects the grip size and handle length of the paddle. A suitable grip size, which depends on how big your hands are, is more comfortable and easier to hold.

How do I know what pickleball paddle to use?

Here are the main things you need to consider.
1. Check if the paddle is USAPA approved.
2. Choose your grip size based on your hand size. If you wanna know how to pick the right grip size, you check the Grip Size section of this article.
3. Pick the weight based on your physical strength, playing style, and skill level. Generally, lighter paddles for beginners, and heavier paddles for advanced players.
4. Choose your core based on your preference. Nomex core if you are an aggressive player and only care about power, otherwise use a polymer or aluminum core paddle.
